    Overview:
    My academic career interest is the design and conduct of community-based, clinical trials for the prevention and treatment of age-related conditions including, but not limited to, memory loss, affecting diverse populations of older adults. I am the Leader of the Outreach and Recruitment Core of the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Core Center funded by the National Institutes on Aging. I am also co-Leader of the Community Engagement/Outreach Core and Leader of the Research Training/Education Core at the Rush Center of Excellence on Disparities in HIV and Aging funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. I am the co-Director of the Center for Community Health Equity, an initiative jointly led by DePaul University and Rush University Medical Center. I also am the Rush University Medical Center Site Principal Investigator for the Chicago Area Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Network (CAPriCORN), a consortium of health systems and other partners committed to working together to develop, test, and implement strategies to improve care for diverse residents in the metropolitan Chicago region in order to improve health care quality, health outcomes, and health equity.
