overview Debra Fleischman, PhD, is a professor and senior scientist in the Departments of Neurological Sciences and Behavioral Sciences at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She is a research neuropsychologist at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center and a clinical neuropsychologist at the Rush Memory Clinic. She earned her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Rush University and completed her residency training in clinical neuropsychology at Rush University Department of Behavioral Sciences in 1988. She completed her post-doctoral clinical/research neuropsychology fellowship training at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center in 1989. Dr. Fleischman is widely known for her earlier research in the area of implicit memory and aging. Her current research examines the neural substrates underlying the associations between physiological, lifestyle, and affective risk factors and cognitive and motor decline in aging. She has published in the areas of aging, Alzheimer’s disease, HIV, vascular dementia, parkinsonism and functional disability, and has employed a range of techniques from neuroimaging to neuropathology. Her research has been funded through grants from foundation, state and federal agencies, including the McDonnell-Pew Program in Cognitive Neuroscience, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Illinois Department of Public Health and the National Institute on Aging. My Scopus ID is 7003784556. My NIH COMMONS name is DFLEISCHMAN.
