Namhee Kim, PhD, is a statistician in the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, and assistant professor of the Department of Neurological Sciences, Rush University Medical Center. She received a PhD in statistics from Kyungpook National University in South Korea with a specialization in Bayesian small area estimation, and a PhD in biostatistics from the Ohio State University in United States of America with a specialization in brain MRI. Her research area includes brain analysis with fMRI and DTI data, power/sample size assessment in various clinical trial settings, outbreak detection for bio-surveillance and Bayesian methods. In RADC, she is actively involved in various projects studying risk factors that are related with normal aging and neurodegenerative diseases, and also exploits novel statistical approaches to advance knowledge about brain function/neurodegenerative diseases.
